Skins is a great golf game that can incorporate a little luck for the winner. A big carry over can make the difference in a round!

Skins

(Also known as [alternateNames])

HOW TO PLAY

The winner of each hole earns a skin with skins typically carried to the next hole in the case of a tie. In the most basic Skins game, skins are accumulated throughout the round and wagers are made either per skin or to the player or team with the most skins at the end of the round.

VARIATIONS & PRESSES

The most common press in skins happens during a hole. A player or team can declare a press during play and the other players or team have to either accept and double the skins in play for that hole or decline and forfeit the hole and the skin.

HOLE BY HOLE

Hole 1 – After the first hole, P1 takes a one skin lead with a par over the bogey from P2. If playing for $2 per skin, P1 would be up $2 after one hole.

Hole 4 – Skins typically carry over, so when the players tie hole 3, hole 4 becomes worth two skins which P1 wins with a birdie.
